Pre-Op
Consultation
Before surgery, we encourage you to schedule a complimentary pre-operative consultation so you can meet our nurses, ask questions, and better understand what to expect during each stage of your surgical journey. We can help you prepare for recovery by discussing supplies, compression garments, positioning, transportation, appointment scheduling, and other concerns you may have.

Manual
Lymphatic
drainage
Post-operative manual lymphatic drainage is a gentle, specialized technique that may help support healthy lymphatic circulation, reduce swelling and feelings of tightness, improve comfort, and encourage fluid to move away from areas affected by surgery. Planning your appointments before surgery is important because availability can be limited, and having your care scheduled in advance allows you to focus on resting and healing rather than searching for support after your procedure. At Breath of Life Massage, your care is provided by licensed nurses with extensive post-operative experience who are also licensed, board-certified massage therapists and trained decongestive lymphatic therapists. We understand that every surgery and recovery is different, so each session is personalized according to your procedure, stage of healing, surgeon’s instructions, and individual needs. We also provide mobile services.

Post-Operative Recovery Supply Guide
Preparing your recovery supplies before surgery can help reduce stress and make the first days at home feel more manageable. Because every procedure has different aftercare needs, we have organized our recommendations by surgery type so you can easily review what may be helpful for your specific recovery. During your complimentary pre-operative consultation, our nurses can also provide a personalized supply list complete with direct purchasing links to make shopping easier and more convenient.
We recommend avoiding the urge to purchase every product promoted by influencers or shared on social media, as many of these items may not be necessary or appropriate for your procedure. Social media personalities are not always medical professionals, and a product or recovery method that worked for someone else may not be safe or effective for you. Using the wrong garment, support item, or recovery product could cause discomfort or interfere with your surgeon’s plan. Your surgeon’s instructions should always take priority, and all recommendations should be based on your procedure, stage of healing, and individual needs.
